Cosmetology Certificate Program (Evening)
The intent of this course is to provide students with the appropriate training and required number of contact hours (minimum of 1500 hours) needed to fulfill licensure requirements in accordance with the NC State Board of Cosmetics Art Examiners. Topics may include, but are not limited to scalp treatments, roller sets, fingerwaves, pincurls, blowdry, thermal press, artificial hair, haircuts, chemical reformation, coloring, highlights, manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, facials and hair removal.
Registration & Fees
Registration: $186.50 per section. In order to achieve the 1500 hours required to sit for the state licensing exam, Students will need to register for three sections over the course of two years (fall, spring, summer, fall, spring, summer)
Dress Code: Uniforms consisting of solid black pants, solid black closed-toe and closed-heel shoes and a black program t-shirt.
The t-shirt will be purchased from the COS club after the class starts for around $25 each. Must wear a solid black top until the t-shirts come in.
Textbooks (REQUIRED for the 1st day of class)
These are a one-time purchase for the entire program and with tax, the total comes to around $630 for the set.
Supply Kit: $525.00 -one-time purchase for the entire program. Will need to be purchased after class begins from the COS club
Cart: Approx $200 (one-time purchase for the entire program), must be black, lock, not have fabric on the inside, and can be purchased after class starts
