Mechanical Level III Standard Inspection

Mechanical Level III Standard Inspection

This course fulfills the Code Officials Qualification Board’s prescribed training course to gain admission to the qualifying examination for a Standard Certificate at Level III. The Mechanical Level III course is designed for the education and training of the Mechanical Level III code enforcement official who has the responsibility of inspecting mechanical installations in all types of construction of unlimited size and is built upon information presented in the Mechanical Level I and Mechanical Level II Standard Inspection courses. Upon completion, course participants will have a better understanding of the Mechanical Code and the Fuel Gas Code of the North Carolina State Building Code and will be able to apply the Code in the inspection field. In addition, with the successful completion of the Mechanical Level III and the Law and Administration courses in conjunction with other education and experience requirements specified by the North Carolina Code Officials Qualification Board, course participants will be eligible to take the Mechanical Level III State examination for inspector certification.

Obtaining accommodations is possible when you have a diagnosis that significantly limits you in your academics and is considered a disability. Accommodations need to be requested in advance to ensure that your accommodations are put in place before the first day of class.  A Request for Accommodations form must be completed.  Verification of your disability from a medical professional is required prior to obtaining accommodations and can be uploaded to the Request form.  Your student ID will be requested on the Request Form (Accessibility Services can help locate your ID).  You can email accessibility@davidsondavie.edu with any questions.

Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions page at the link below for instructions on how to have any accommodations implemented.  Disability Services FAQs

**All accommodations must be in place before the class starts for Davidson-Davie staff to meet your needs for this class (as class turnaround time is short).  If you had accommodations in the past, email accessibility@davidsondavie.edu to let them know that you want to renew for your new class, before every class that you decide to take in Continuing Education. We will make an effort to accommodate your needs; however, after a class has started it may be an undue burden and unreasonable to provide accommodations; therefore, your request may not be approved.  Schedule Testing.”
