Notary Public Education (Davie Campus)

This course is designed to provide instruction to individuals who want to become commissioned as a Notary Public. Topics include legal, ethical and procedural requirements of the Notary Act. Upon completion of this course with a passing exam grade of 80%, a person is eligible to make application with the NC Secretary of State office. NOTARY PUBLIC MANUAL, 2016 edition, COSTS APPROXIMATELY $32  AND MUST BE PURCHASED PRIOR TO CLASS. Textbooks available in the DDCC Bookstore.

This course meets state requirements for certification as a Notary Public.

  1. Be at least 18 years of age or legally emancipated as defined in Article 35 of Chapter 7B of the General Statutes.
  2. Reside or have a regular place of work or business in this State.
  3. Reside legally in the United States.
  4. Speak, read, and write the English language.
  5. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
