Pathway to Teacher Assistant Part 1

This is the first course in the TA series of 2 classes totaling 96 hrs of coursework needed to become Teacher Assistant in a NC Title 1 school. The 2 classes focus on how to apply for employment, how to use technology in the classroom, skills to pass the 3 WorkKeys tests, covers some state requirements regarding ESL, IEPs, classroom management skills, and more.

This class will meet in person, online over ZOOM and use Moodle for a total of 48 hours. Students must attend, participate and earn a 70% or more in order to take the 2nd course EDU-3010. This class does not articulate.

No class July4th week.

This is a fee waiver course and registrations will be completed in person on the first night of class.
