March 25, 2018 – Davidson County Community College will host a community health fair on March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rittling Conference Center located on the Davidson Campus. The event features over 30 health and wellness vendors and is free and open to the public.
Vendors like the YMCA, Smart Start, Thomasville Medical Center, Lexington Medical Center, doTerra Essential Oils, Family Services, Vocational Rehab and others will be available to share information about their services. Free A1C, cholesterol, and blood pressure checks will be offered, as well as free massages, samples, popcorn and more.
This marks the second year that DCCC has offered the health fair. “This event stresses the importance of self-care,” said Whitney Lewis, manager of counseling, health and disability access services at DCCC. “We want everyone in our community to be encouraged to take care of their physical, mental, and emotional health and also have access to local resources that can help.”
