When: Open Aquarium Days will take place on the following dates:
Why: The Zoo & Aquarium Science Program will open its doors the public this fall during their Open Aquarium Days. These free events give community members the chance to interact with the animals and aquatic life at Davidson County Community College. New attractions include a green iguana and four-month-old pufferfish.
Each Open Aquarium Day will feature animal encounters, zookeeper talks by Zoo & Aquarium Science students, animal feedings every 20 minutes, and family activities.
Some dates will include additional activities. On Oct. 19, there will be Trunk-or-Treat from 6-7 p.m. following the Open Aquarium with attendees encouraged to dress in costume and bring a bag of candy. The ZAS Club will host a Haunted Trail on Oct. 19 and 20 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under.
The final Open Aquarium date on Nov. 13 will coincide with DCCC’s Open House from 4-7 p.m.
